The mission of this organization is to educate the Suncoast GLBT community on the differences that exist in the political parties - defining the Democratic Party as an ally to our efforts for equality. We will mobilize our community to actively campaign and support the candidacy of progressive Democrats. Finally, we will oppose those that wish to encumber our freedoms - and hold our candidates accountable to stand up for the issues that effect our community.

With the increasing hostility aimed at the GLBT community, now is the time for the Suncoast to get organized, speak up and be counted. The Suncoast Stonewall Democrats will agressively and enthusiastically fight the efforts to pass any legislation or amendment to the U.S. or Florida Constitution that denies or limits the rights of GLBT individuals and their families.

The Suncoast Stonewall Democrats is open to all registered Democrat in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, who supports the mission of this organization.
